The membership fee has been set at its current level because, at this early stage, the Amazon Bridge Memorial Association has no external funding. Every aspect of establishing the Association - from administrative setup and website hosting to the development of commemorative materials and community outreach - must be covered entirely by our own resources.
Our start-off costs are significant, and the membership contribution plays a vital role in allowing us to move forward. It ensures we can begin building the foundation of the Association properly, honouring the history we represent while creating a sustainable structure for future projects, events, and educational work.
Importantly, each membership also helps fund the ongoing maintenance of our memorials and the development of the museum, enabling us to expand our collection until we can display many more exhibits - including large and historically significant pieces. These efforts are central to our mission of preserving the legacy of the Amazon Bridge and those who served there.
By becoming a member, you are directly supporting the launch and growth of the Association, helping us overcome the initial financial challenges that come with establishing a meaningful, long-term memorial organisation. Your membership is not just a fee - it is an investment in remembrance, restoration, and the future of our shared history.
